About us
A place to breathe.
Our story, our beliefs, and the people of Tidewell.
Our story
A church born after the storm.
Tidewell began in 2010 when a group of families met to pray in a James Island living room after a hard hurricane season. They wanted a church that would show up for their neighbors, not just on Sundays.
Today we gather in our building on Folly Road, baptize new believers in the ocean, and send teams whenever storms hit the Lowcountry. We are still a church for weary people, because we all are.

Our values
What we value.
Rest
Jesus invites the weary to come to Him. We want church to feel like a deep breath.
Showing up
When neighbors are hurting, we bring meals, tarps, and prayer.
Real community
We share our lives, not just a pew.
